Overview
The Procurement Advisor plays a key role in driving capital procurement excellence. This position supports best-in-class sourcing, procure-to-pay processes, and project execution across business units.

The ideal candidate brings experience, drive, and a results-oriented mindset. The primary focus is ensuring project needs are sourced on time and executed efficiently, maximizing ROI while upholding safety and reliability.

This role includes some travel across North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver procurement of materials and services required for projects within assigned regions, including managing processes, processing purchase requests, and collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to issue purchase orders
  • Help define and implement leading practices to improve the planning and execution of project activities across sites, while promoting process consistency
  • Source goods and services with a focus on optimizing total cost, while meeting safety, quality, and operational reliability standards
  • Track and evaluate supplier performance before, during, and after project events
  • Contribute to data gathering and analysis related to project costs, spending patterns, and key performance metrics to support cross-site visibility and decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts and identify cost reduction opportunities in partnership with suppliers

Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong background in industrial operations and procurement, with demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, analytics, and maintenance-related activities
  • 5–10 years of progressive sourcing and contracting experience within energy or a comparable industry
  • Familiarity with project capital planning processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related field

Technical Capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise and procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle, as well as sourcing and spend management platforms (e.g., Ariba) and eProcurement tools
