SC Procurement Analyst

The SC Procurement Analyst is a key member of the Source to Pay (S2P) team, responsible for managing the entire Source-to-Pay process. This includes demand assessment, processing purchase orders, and overseeing CP-related activities through to payment.

The role supports Mobility, Global Lubes, Trading & Supply, Power, Low Carbon Solutions, Global Functions, and IDT (Information and Digital Technology). The SC Procurement Analyst ensures alignment of buying channels and sourcing strategies with business priorities through regular engagement with stakeholders and suppliers.

The role is also accountable for managing third-party tail-end spend to simplify processes, consolidate demand, utilize appropriate buying channels, prevent value leakage, and develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize the company’s buying power and overall third-party spend.

Key Responsibilities

SC S2P Process and Digital Expertise

  • Efficiently apply and execute S2P processes, tools, and systems for procurement, ensuring the use of appropriate buying channels
  • Drive analysis to identify gaps and emerging issues in processes
  • Identify potential solutions and lead/assist in execution
Gatekeeper for the Company’s 3rd Party Spend
  • Provide commercial and S2P advice to stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment with S2P guidelines and Group CMCP processes
Bridge Between Strategic and Operational Sourcing
  • Ensure high-value or repetitive purchase orders are placed correctly
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide operational procurement guidance and support
ERP / SAP Super User Role
  • Address user queries and perform training
  • Support process and IT changes
  • Raise enhancement requests
  • Act as a subject matter expert
Continuous Improvement and Commerciality
  • Identify and address gaps in third-party spend for greater efficiency
  • Assist in implementing and executing action plans
Deliver Group KPIs
  • Achieve targets for on-time payment
  • Reduce PO non-compliance
  • Increase PO automation
Assurance
  • Ensure no compromise on key red threads
  • Maintain 0% risk to the company’s license to operate
Business Interface
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders

Special Challenges (Complexity)
  • Analyze, identify, and drive continuous improvement and commercial opportunities for tail-end spend via proper channels while managing daily responsibilities
  • Provide support across businesses/functions and ERP systems with effective stakeholder management
  • Manage interfaces across different seniority levels, including internal (Business Stakeholders, CP Team, AP) and external (Suppliers, Contractors), requiring strong collaboration

Key Experiences and Qualifications

Qualification & Delivery

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant commercial, digital, or procurement experience
  • C1 level proficiency in Business English

  • Experience in commercial and continuous improvement/digitalization, or demonstrated on-the-job development
