Job Opening: Procurement Specialist – NFPS Compression Projects
Location: Qatar
Department: Project Management Team (PMT)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, Accounting, Business Admin, or related fields
Experience: 8+ years in Oil & Gas, including 5 years as a Procurement Specialist
Work Schedule: 8–10 hours/day | 6 days/week
Rotation: 12 weeks On / 2 weeks Off
Status: Single Status

Job Purpose
The Procurement Specialist will monitor, expedite, and control all Contractor procurement activities for the NFPS Compression Projects—including long‑lead items (LLI). Responsible for ensuring a cost‑effective, compliant, and timely procurement and materials management program, aligned with company procedures and project needs. Job Context & Key Challenges
  • Ensuring timely delivery of critical procurement items, including CPY‑novated materials.
  • Providing early warning on potential delays and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Managing high volumes of procurement activities under strict deadlines and complex project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Procurement Alignment
  • Maintain alignment on procurement objectives within PMT and ensure adherence to procurement processes.
  • Support Procurement Lead in developing and reviewing procurement procedures, tools, PSE, MSR, SSR, etc.
Procurement Oversight
  • Oversee EPC Contractor purchasing plans and implementation.
  • Support approvals for deviations, cost adjustments, claims, and changes in coordination with technical and planning teams.
  • Report procurement progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Expediting & Logistics
  • Implement effective expediting strategies for timely delivery of packages, equipment, and materials.
  • Work closely with logistics teams to support scheduled deliveries.
Vendor & Documentation
  • Collaborate with Quality and Contractor to evaluate vendors and review critical documents.
  • Expedite urgent vendor documentation and technical queries.
Interfaces & Coordination
  • Coordinate with Spare Parts Coordinator to align RSPL requirements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with planning, cost control, contracts, and business teams.
  • Support additional duties as delegated by the Procurement Lead.
Required Knowledge & Experience
  • 8+ years of diversified Oil & Gas experience.
  • At least 5 years as Procurement Specialist on major projects.
  • Strong EPC contractor monitoring capabilities.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, business applications, and SAP.
  • Excellent written/spoken English, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a lean, high‑pressure environment.
