You’ll help ensure materials and supplies are purchased efficiently, deliveries stay on track, and vendor relationships remain strong. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, cost‑reduction efforts, and the development of new supplier partnerships. Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Specialist II, you will play an important role in supporting purchasing activities for Siemens Energy’s operations in Gibsonton, FL. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of analytical work, supplier interaction, and hands‑on involvement in procurement processes.
You’ll help ensure materials and supplies are purchased efficiently, deliveries stay on track, and vendor relationships remain strong. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives, cost‑reduction efforts, and the development of new supplier partnerships. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in semi‑complex buying strategies and coordinate timely purchasing of materials and supplies.
- Serve as a liaison between vendors and internal users, including expediting orders and seeking approvals for purchases above standard limits.
- Resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or invoicing.
- Review and analyze requisitions and supply plans for both domestic and international procurement.
- Assist in updating purchasing systems, maintaining project plans, and ensuring accurate procurement data.
- Participate in price, term, and quality negotiations with suppliers.
- Prepare RFQs (Requests for Quotes) and support the development of new supply sources.
- Evaluate market conditions and identify new opportunities for cost savings.
- Encourage and track cost‑reduction suggestions from suppliers and follow through on implementation.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with SAP PP/MM modules.
- Understanding of Supply Chain Management principles.
- Shift: 1st Shift — 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $40 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
- Timesheet Frequency: Weekly
