Production Supervisor
My client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a unionized manufacturing environment producing high-voltage equipment for the power transmission industry.
This is a floor-focused leadership role requiring strong operational discipline, safety leadership, and the ability to drive performance in a make-to-order production setting.

My client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations in a unionized manufacturing environment producing high-voltage equipment for the power transmission industry.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and supervise hourly production employees in a unionized environment
- Execute production plans while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets
- Ensure compliance with Ontario health and safety regulations (OHSA, ESA, WSIB)
- Participate in EHS risk assessments and hazard mitigation initiatives
- Lead or support root cause investigations (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Develop and implement manufacturing procedures and standard work
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
- Monitor key KPIs including labor efficiency, scrap, downtime, and rework
- Support Lean, continuous improvement, and 5S initiatives
What My Client Is Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Ontario occupational health and safety regulations
- Experience driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Post-secondary education in Manufacturing or a related field is an asset
