The Project Controls Lead is responsible for leading and executing all project control functions across assigned NFPS projects, ensuring accurate cost, schedule, progress, and performance monitoring.

Function: Project Controls
Level: Lead / Senior
Contract Duration: 3 Years
Work Schedule:
- 8–10 hours per day
- 6 days per week
- Rotation: 12 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF
The Project Controls Lead is responsible for leading and executing all project control functions across assigned NFPS projects, ensuring accurate cost, schedule, progress, and performance monitoring.
This role plays a critical part in:
- Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of project and contractor performance data
- Providing timely insights for executive decision‑making and risk mitigation
- Supporting delivery of projects within approved cost, schedule, and governance frameworks
- Acting as a key interface between Operating Company and EPC Contractors
- Rapidly assessing cost, schedule, and recovery plans in high‑pressure environments
- Establishing effective project controls governance across multiple stakeholders
- Maintaining strong working relationships with EPC contractor project controls teams
- Identifying potential areas of claims, disputes, and performance deviation early and proactively
- Ensuring consistent, reliable, and decision‑ready reporting throughout project execution
- Execute project controls functions including planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change management, and progress monitoring
- Develop and implement project procedures for reporting, cost control, and scheduling in line with Company governance
- Coordinate with internal teams and EPC Contractors to consolidate and analyze cost and schedule data
- Lead integrated schedule development and maintenance using multi‑range scheduling tools
- Monitor contractor project controls performance, identify discrepancies, and drive corrective actions
- Support change order evaluations, risk assessments, and contractor claims reviews
- Ensure approved changes are fully incorporated into schedule and cost baselines
- Produce accurate cost estimates, forecasts, dashboards, and performance reports for senior management
- Establish and maintain fit‑for‑purpose project control systems aligned with project complexity and execution strategy
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences
- Professional certifications (PMP, PMI‑SP, AACE, etc.) – advantageous
- Minimum 8 years’ experience across project functions (project controls, engineering, construction, procurement, or management)
- At least 1 year in a supervisory role, including oversight of EPC contractors or vendors
- Experience with Oil & Gas operating companies and EPC contractors
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Planning & scheduling
- Cost control & forecasting
- Change & claim management
- Risk management & progress measurement
- Experience supporting large, integrated operating organizations
- Solid understanding of international project controls standards and best practices
- Proven ability to work effectively in high‑pressure, fast‑paced project environments
- Advanced proficiency in project controls software and dashboards
- Strong capability in data analytics, SAP, and reporting tools
- SME‑level competence in project controls and business processes
- Experience applying risk‑based decision‑making approaches
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
