Project Development Manager (biogas & biomethane)

For our international client with extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, we are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Project Manager to join growing team and lead the development of biogas and biomethane investments. 

In this role, you will guide projects from the earliest development phase through to construction readiness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and leading development activities required to bring projects to Ready-to-Build status.
• Planning and overseeing permitting processes and administrative procedures.
• Collaborating with technical, environmental, and legal advisors while coordinating grid connection activities.
• Acting as the main point of contact for municipalities, landowners, local communities, and external partners.
• Monitoring project schedules, budgets, and potential development risks.
• Ensuring that each project is developed and delivered in accordance with applicable legislation and internal standards.
• Providing regular updates and recommendations to senior management regarding project progress and performance.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A university degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Energy or another relevant discipline.
• At least two years of experience in developing renewable energy projects, ideally within the biogas or biomethane sector.
• Solid knowledge of investment permitting procedures, environmental regulations and grid connection requirements.
• Strong planning, coordination and project management skills.
• A good understanding of the renewable energy industry and its regulatory environment.
• English language skills at B2 level or above.
• A valid Category B driving licence and willingness to travel for project-related meetings.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
