Position Purpose The Project Engineer is part of the Santos Pikka Development Team and is responsible for coordinating engineering and field activities as assigned. This role ensures technical and execution aspects of the project progress according to schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and lead implementation of Santos policies and procedures, including safety, health, environment, process, people, and planning.
  • Work collaboratively with peers to ensure technical aspects of the project are integrated in a timely manner to support execution.
  • Support timely execution of the project schedule through management of multiple small projects and assistance with larger scopes.
  • Interface with engineering, construction, and commissioning contractors to ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables and responses to queries.
  • Support Owners Engineering Team with document reviews.
  • Participate in construction, commissioning, and operations meetings as needed.
  • Provide technical support during the execution stage of the Pikka Project.
Additional responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with contractor performance management.
  • Monitoring compliance with project document control procedures and taking corrective actions.
  • Providing guidance to contractors on design trade-offs, cost considerations, and owner preferences.
  • Managing interfaces with facility engineering and system design contractors.
  • Assisting with responses to technical queries (TQs/RFIs) and change requests.
  • Leading project site safety audits and promoting a strong safety culture.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of domestic or international oil and gas project experience in execution and delivery roles; cold weather experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to administer major components of project execution plans.
  • Effective interpersonal and team-building skills to interact at all levels.
  • Alaska experience is a plus.
