Contract period: 10.08.2026 - 10.08.2027
Location: Bergen
Main tasks:
- Support the Project Manager in the execution of engineered lifting equipment projects (sheaves, crane blocks, fair-leads and similar mechanical equipment)
- Coordinate project activities from order intake through engineering, fabrication follow up, and final delivery
- SAP registration of customer order confirmations and supplier purchase orders
- Maintain and support project schedules and project planning
- Ensure alignment between engineering, suppliers, and client requirements
- Participate in internal project meetings and client meetings when required
- Support preparation and review of technical drawings, calculations, and design documentation
- Coordinate engineering deliverables between engineering teams and project management
- Ensure correct revision control and document management throughout the project
- Support submission of documentation to clients and relevant third-party verification bodies
- Follow up key suppliers during fabrication and manufacturing, also on-site
- Monitor fabrication progress and supplier documentation
- Review incoming supplier reports and inspection documentation
- Coordinate clarifications between engineering teams and suppliers
- Participate in supplier visits and inspections when required
- Support development and follow-up of project documentation including:
- Inspection and Test Plans (ITP)
- Material certificates
- Manufacturing records
- Inspection reports
- Supplier documentation and MRB packages
- Ensure documentation packages are completed and submitted to the client in accordance with project requirements
- Support preparation of project status reports
- Assist in technical clarifications with clients
- Support handling of project changes or variation requests when required
- Support project close-out activities including final documentation, archiving, and lessons learned
- Assist in tracking supplier documentation and invoices related to the project
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project processes and technical solutions
Qualifications:
- Technical education within Mechanical Engineering or similar field
- Experience working with mechanical equipment, fabrication, or engineering projects
- Structured and detail-oriented working style
- Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Experience from offshore, lifting equipment, heavy industry, or mechanical fabrication
- Familiarity with engineering documentation and project execution
- General knowledge of class standards and verification requirements (such as DNV, ABS or similar)
- Experience with engineering software and project management systems, such as Microsoft Projects, SAP and general Microsoft Office programs
- Structured and organised
- Ability to coordinate between multiple stakeholders
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Comfortable working in an international technical environment
