An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global leader in the design, construction, installation and operation of offshore floating production systems for the energy industry.
We are currently recruiting for both Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer professionals to support major offshore energy projects based in Rotterdam.
This position sits within the Project Management function and is ideal for candidates with previous Project Engineering experience managing the delivery of complex oil & gas projects.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in either:
Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for coordinating project interfaces, managing work packages, monitoring progress and supporting the successful delivery of major offshore projects.
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, responsibilities may include Interface Management, Delivery Management, Package Management and Change Management.

- Project Engineering within Shipyard or marine/offshore industries
- Project Engineering with an Instrumentation, Electrical or ICSS background
Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for coordinating project interfaces, managing work packages, monitoring progress and supporting the successful delivery of major offshore projects.
Depending on the size and complexity of the project, responsibilities may include Interface Management, Delivery Management, Package Management and Change Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and budgets alongside the Project Manager.
- Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement and construction teams.
- Manage project interfaces and work packages to ensure successful delivery.
- Conduct technical evaluations, feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where required.
- Review technical documentation, specifications and project reports.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures and HSE requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the wider project team to achieve project objectives and milestones.
- Identify and manage project risks, commercial impacts and contractual changes.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer within Project Management (not engineering design).
- Proven experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong project planning and coordination experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience using project management software and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, risks and contractual changes.
- Shipyards or similar marine/offshore industries.
- Instrumentation, Electrical or ICSS project delivery.
- Offshore construction or FPSO projects.
- Commercial and contractual change management.

- Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the Rotterdam office and 2 days working from home.
- International business travel and occasional offshore visits may be required.
