NES Fircroft on behalf of our client a global leader in deepwater ocean infrastructure is hiring a dedicated Project Environmental & Socioeconomics (E&S) Engineer.

This key role supports the enforcement of global E&S standards across projects, ensuring environmental stewardship and socio-economic compliance throughout every phase. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including Group Functions, Operations, Construction, Commissioning Managers, and external partners—to embed E&S requirements effectively and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Deputy to the E&S Manager, contributing to the overall management and execution of E&S strategies across projects.
  • Ensure consistent implementation, interpretation, and harmonization of global Environmental & Socioeconomics regulations and standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage critical E&S documentation related to FPSO projects, including management plans, progress reports, and compliance records.
  • Oversee Action Tracker specific to E&S tasks, proactively coordinating with project teams to expedite completion of outstanding actions.
  • Conduct audits of E&S plans and activities across multiple sites and project management teams to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Review Non-Conformance Report (NCR) evidence, initiate corrective actions, and drive timely resolution of E&S nonconformities.
  • Maintain effective communication and alignment with the Finance team on E&S-related budget and cost matters.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for E&S queries, providing expert guidance and support throughout project lifecycle.
  • Promote awareness of individual and team E&S responsibilities to ensure full compliance within project personnel.
Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law,  Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification in Environmental and Socioeconomics Management (e.g., Certified E&S Manager) highly preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in Environmental & Socioeconomics within complex, multinational projects.
  • Strong understanding of global E&S standards and regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proven track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external regulatory bodies.
