Project Lead - Civil Design
Step into a senior leadership role guiding the design and long-term planning of critical tailings infrastructure within a major mining operation.
12-month contract position based either in Brisbane City or the Gladstone Site office with a strong outlook for extension beyond the initial engagement.
As Project Lead, you will lead the planning and delivery of annual RDA wall raise design packages, manage design consultants, and drive the 5-year wall raise strategy. You will coordinate technical studies, geotechnical investigations and design assurance activities while supporting capital planning and project funding. Working across operational, technical and project teams, you will ensure design solutions are practical, constructable and aligned with delivery objectives, while effectively managing technical risks and opportunities.

Necessary Skills and Experience
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering and preference for RPEQ or ability to attain.
- Significant experience leading civil design for infrastructure or mining projects focusing on Dams and Tailings.
- Demonstrated success in ensuring design quality, managing consultant performance, and mitigating technical risks.
- Capability to coordinate geotechnical investigations, technical studies, and design assurance activities.
- Comfortable operating within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
