The Project Manager Civil Lower Area is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects related to the Lower Area, Site Install, Access Roads part of the projects. He/She plans, schedules, predicts, and manages all the technical tasks of her/his assigned project structures to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.

The Project Manager Civil Lower Area is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects related to the Lower Area, Site Install, Access Roads part of the projects. He/She plans, schedules, predicts, and manages all the technical tasks of her/his assigned project structures to assure accuracy, proper resources, and quality from start to finish.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversees all site activities, progress, difficulties and challenges associated with construction activities within her / his field of responsibility and brings any major issues immediately to the attention of the Senior Project Manager Civil.
- Ensures that all matters related to the Lower Area, Site Installation Areas, Access Roads of the project adhere to the planned resource, timeline, and budget and prepares weekly and monthly reporting to this effect for submission to and review by the Senior Project Manager Civil.
- Has an oversight role for the Owner’s Engineer as it relates to the Lower Area, Site Installation Areas, Access Roads works and ensures that the OE is:
- reporting progress and issues of the Contractor in a timely and accurate manner;
- actively and diligently carrying out its duties;
- initiating, applying and following through with proper corrective measures for issues identified; and
- deployed in an effective manner in terms of presence and coverage of construction activities on Site.
- Works in close collaboration with his/her OE counterparts in the early identification of potential issues in relation to design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities of underground works as well as ensuring that such issues are resolved in an efficient manner.
- Works in close collaboration with its counterpart of CSR teams in monitoring preempting issues arising due to construction activities as well as resolving them in an efficient manner.
- Reviews and monitors timely availability of engineering deliverables and Contractor’s Documents for Lower Area, Site Install, Access Roads works and initiates appropriate corrective actions with the OE
- Monitors compliance with applicable codes, practices, performance standards and Employer’s Requirements for the underground works reports non-compliance to Sr. Project Manager Civil and initiates corrective measures through the OE.
- Ensures that the OE enforces strict compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Reports any observed non-conformance with Occupational Safety and Health Plan and Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plan of the Contractor to the Health and Safety Manager and OE.
- Maintains harmonious relationships among and between stakeholders.
- Full-time employment ready to report to the office or site as needed.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a bachelor's degree, or higher, holder in Civil Engineering with PRC License
- 20+ years of relevant working experience of road or earth works in a large-scale project
- Project management and supervisory skills
- Flexibility to work on special shifts during nighttime and weekends in accordance with their Project’s requirements
- Resourceful and with initiative
- Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven
