Project Manager – Utility Scale Renewables

Perth | Permanent Full-Time | Major Infrastructure & Energy Projects

If you're a Project Manager who enjoys getting involved at the front end of projects — identifying opportunities, assessing sites, managing stakeholders and helping shape developments before they reach construction — this could be worth a closer look.

I'm partnering with a well-backed international developer that is continuing to expand its footprint in Western Australia. They're looking for a Project Manager to help drive the development of large-scale infrastructure and energy projects from initial concept through to construction readiness.

The Role
This position sits within the development team and is focused on identifying, assessing and progressing complex projects through the early development lifecycle.

You'll work across site identification, feasibility assessments, stakeholder engagement, approvals, land negotiations and consultant management, helping to ensure projects are technically, commercially and strategically viable before entering delivery.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of infrastructure and energy developments, working closely with technical, grid connection, construction and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from concept stage through to construction readiness.
  • Assess potential sites and evaluate development opportunities.
  • Coordinate consultants, planners, utilities and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support permitting, approvals and land acquisition activities.
  • Contribute to technical concepts, layouts and project planning.
  • Work closely with development, engineering and delivery teams to progress projects efficiently.
Key Experience
  • At least 5 years' experience developing large-scale infrastructure, energy or industrial projects in Australia.
  • Background in engineering, planning, property, infrastructure or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with stakeholders, landowners, consultants and approval authorities.
  • Exposure to renewable energy, substations, grid connections, industrial developments or similar projects would be highly regarded.
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence managing negotiations.
Why This Role?
This isn't a traditional delivery-focused Project Manager role. It's an opportunity to influence projects from day one, helping determine where they go, how they're developed and ultimately whether they succeed.

You'll join a growing organisation with an active project pipeline, work alongside experienced development professionals and gain exposure to some of WA's most significant infrastructure and energy opportunities. For someone who enjoys the strategy, stakeholder management and problem-solving side of project development, it's a genuinely interesting role.
