Technical Project Manager - Electrical Switchgear
Location: Remote (UK) with Nationwide Travel when required 
Contract: Outside IR35
Rate: Competitive Day Rate

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a background in Electrical Switchgear to support the delivery of projects across the UK.
This is a Technical delivery role, not a commercial PM position. You'll act as the key interface between customers, engineering teams, factories and subcontractors, providing technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage RAMS, safety plans and project documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance on switchgear systems, electrical schematics and testing procedures.
  • Coordinate and submit design drawings, FAT reports, SAT documentation and project schedules.
  • Lead technical discussions with customers, manufacturers and subcontractors.
  • Attend project meetings and customer sites during planning, installation and commissioning phases.
  • Manage technical risks and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
Requirements
  • Proven experience managing electrical switchgear or power distribution projects.
  • Strong understanding of switchgear systems.
  • Experience with FAT, SAT, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Electrical engineering background or strong technical project delivery experience.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
