Project Manager

This individual would be employed on a contract basis and be responsible for managing a capital project portfolio valued at $70MM from inception to execution. Job Details
Location: New Orleans, LA
Hours: M-F—40 Hours per week—Some OT may be required.
Duration: One year with high probability of extension.
Salary: $80-$100/hr. depending on experience.  

Job Responsibilities

• This position will be responsible for the project management of terminal and/or facilities engineering and consulting services.
• Projects range in size and complexity from small utility distribution upgrades to large tank, pipeline, and marine projects.
• Lead in the execution of engineering activities.
• Tank and pipeline design and engineering oversight including plans, profiles, details and associated bill of materials.
• Coordination to obtain survey, geotechnical investigations, permitting, and land acquisition.
• Provide calculations for studies and reports.
• Material and equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing.
• Conceptual designs and execution plans.
• Engineering/project cost estimates and schedules.
• Lead coordination of project activities with other disciplines (Pipeline Facilities, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, etc.)
• Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.

Job Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of Project Management/Engineering experience.
• Must have 5+ years of experience managing capital project work within petroleum/chemical storage and logistics and related facilities  (i.e., tank farms, pipelines, rail, truck, marine)
• Must have strong understanding around API codes.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
• Candidates local to the New Orleans, LA region are highly preferred. No per diem or relocation offered to candidates outside the market.
