The Opportunity
  • A major energy‑infrastructure project designed to connect existing network infrastructure with local, large-scale renewable energy sources for shared use in the region.
  • This is a newly created position and you will play a key role in establishing the project structure, procurement packages and early‑stage planning as the contract is due to be awarded imminently.
  • As Project Manager, you’ll drive the project from end-to-end, commencing with the coordination of initial field and compliance work, along with early technical inputs. You’ll work closely with internal specialists, external technical consultants, and multiple stakeholders. There is a team of 5 and your scope could involve managing them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical inputs across environment, heritage, field investigations and early design
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets and procurement packages
  • Manage vendor engagement, planning, reporting and early commercial activities
  • Support approvals pathways, regulatory considerations and heritage requirements
  • Oversee external consultants and ensure delivery quality across multiple workstreams
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders including heritage groups, environmental teams and engineering partners
  • Assist with project governance, risk, documentation, cost control and schedule performance
  • Manage client expectations and maintain alignment to agreed budget and scope
  • Contribute to feasibility, pre‑FEED and subsequent development phases across the project lifecycle
 
About You
You’re a technically grounded Project Manager with exposure to major projects (end-to-end), ideally within the resources or energy sector. You bring a strong balance of engineering insight plus commercial awareness.
  • Engineering background with project development exposure (budgets, procurement, scheduling, vendor management)
  • Experience coordinating environmental, heritage or approvals‑related activities
  • Ability to manage multiple technical consultants across early‑stage project phases
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence managing tight budgets and shifting client expectations
