Project Manager – 12 Months Contract – Bracknell, remote
Preference for a Life Sciences background for this role due to working on a Bioinformatics Platform
Inside of IR35 - £51.70/hr via umbrella company
36 hours per week
Mainly remote with the odd travel to site in Bracknell

Essential:-  Working on an existing digital platform which has been running for around two years. There is a big demand to develop the platform further and build new applications, with around £3.5m being invested. The Project Manager will be responsible for owning the delivery of projects, working with internal teams and external development partners across Europe and globally. This will include managing the roadmap, scope, risks, stakeholders and budgets and making sure projects are delivered through to go live. There are around 3 development teams / 10 people, along with external development partners based across Switzerland, Eastern Europe and other locations. Looking for someone who has strong IT/digital project management experience, is comfortable managing external teams and senior stakeholders and can take ownership of projects rather than just coordinate them. Day to day, you'll be managing the project scope, roadmap, risks and timelines, working with the external development teams, managing stakeholders, dealing with any challenges, and making sure projects stay on track through to delivery.  Strong delivery experience along with strong global experience working with large Life Science companies  

Project Manager Purpose
As a Project Manager will work within the Bioinformatics Technology and Services team you will administrate and oversee successful implementation of Bioinformatics Platform - a complex project that spans multiple teams, functions, and external parties.

Project Manager Accountabilities

• Serve as the central orchestrator, harmonizing diverse initiatives and ensuring their alignment with the overall project vision and organizational goals
• Foster and facilitate collaboration between internal and external teams
• Manage high-level project timelines, coordinating with sub-initiative leaders on their specific deliverables
• Ensure that the administrative aspects of the project are managed efficiently, including contract management and budget
• Suggest and implement project management practices and standards
• Proactively identify and raise dependencies, risks, and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary

Project Manager Skills and Experience

• • 3+ years of experience in delivery management
  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, hybrid)
  • Expertise with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Mural, Smartsheet)
  • Workshop orchestration and facilitation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Risk management proficiency
  • Experience in contract management
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and software development processes
