Our client, a leading mining company, is seeking an experienced Project Planner to join their project delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a portfolio of mining studies and capital projects, playing a key role in planning, scheduling and project controls to ensure successful project execution.
Working closely with project managers, engineering teams and key stakeholders, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules while providing the insights that drive informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Working closely with project managers, engineering teams and key stakeholders, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules while providing the insights that drive informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role:
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Primavera P6 to support project delivery.
- Create schedule baselines and track progress against approved plans and key project milestones.
- Monitor and evaluate schedule performance, including critical path, float analysis and forecast completion dates.
- Identify schedule variances, risks and potential delays, working with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Prepare and present regular schedule reports, dashboards and progress updates for project stakeholders and leadership.
- Consolidate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities into an integrated master schedule.
- Contribute to project change management processes, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA) and stage gate reviews.
- Ensure planning and scheduling practices are aligned with project controls requirements, governance standards and organisational planning guidelines.
- Proven experience as a Project Planner within the mining, resources or major projects sector.
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and project controls principles.
- Experience supporting feasibility studies, project execution or large-scale capital projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary project teams.
