Our client is a leading heavy civil construction company delivering major infrastructure projects across Canada, including bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, and marine structures. With a strong track record of completing complex projects on time and within budget, they are also actively involved in energy developments such as hydroelectric and renewable energy projects.
This opportunity is based on a project in Campbell River, British Columbia. The role follows a night shift schedule starting at 5:30 PM, with typical 9-hour workdays. Candidates must be comfortable working night shifts.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and maintain positive working relationships with on-site staff
- Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and subcontract agreements
- Support the Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules
- Plan and review construction programs, including safety, quality, environmental procedures, staging, equipment, and workforce requirements
- Coordinate, direct, and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Collaborate with inspection agencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented when required
- Maintain clear and consistent communication between all project stakeholders
- Lead weekly safety and coordination meetings
- Provide daily reports on project progress, labour, and materials
- Review and approve timecards, subcontractor payment requests, material vouchers, and invoices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and the public
- 3–5 years of experience in a construction supervision role within heavy civil projects
- Strong experience in earthworks and concrete structures
- Demonstrated experience with concrete work, forming, and drilling operations
- Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with office systems and administrative procedures
- Basic understanding of math, accounting, and financial processes
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); bilingualism is considered an asset
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Leadership and ability to work independently
