We are partnering with a leading Tier 1 mining company to recruit a Purchasing Officer who will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality procurement services, including the purchasing and expediting of goods and services critical to operational success. Benefits

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and expedite materials, parts, supplies, equipment, and services in line with established purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Optimise pricing, delivery, and commercial terms to support operational requirements.
  • Identify reliable, cost‑competitive suppliers; prepare and issue RFQs to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Support analysis of commercial benefit initiatives across new capital projects, sustaining capital, maintenance programs, and operational expenditure.
  • Ensure all goods and services are ordered and received in accordance with specifications.
  • Verify correct costing of materials and maintain accurate purchasing data.
  • Maintain consistent, high‑quality purchasing service delivery to the Customer Group.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a commercial purchasing or buyer role, ideally within mining or resources.
  • SAP system experience (essential)
  • Ability to work in a highly transactional and fast paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of materials and inventory management, services procurement, and commercial/legal terms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong supplier and internal relationships.
  • Experience across end‑to‑end purchase‑to‑pay and logistics processes.
