QA/QC Welding Specialist

For our client, an international industrial services company operating in the power and industrial energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer / QA/QC Welding Specialist for long-term projects in Belgium and Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of construction and installation works on site.
• Supervision of assembly works in accordance with the ITP plan.
• Preparation of reports and completion of welding logs.
• Supervision of welding activities.
• Visual inspection and quality assessment of completed welds.
• Preparation and control of project documentation according to required standards.
• Supervision of marking, identification and traceability of materials.
• Monitoring compliance with welding technologies and procedures.
• Ordering and coordinating weld testing in line with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Verification of required welding qualifications and certificates.
• Cooperation with site teams, subcontractors, quality departments and client representatives.

 
Requirements:

• Valid IWE – International Welding Engineer qualification.
• Valid VT2 certification.
• PT2 and MT2 certifications will be a strong advantage.
• Experience in welding supervision and quality control.
• Experience with piping systems, pressure equipment and/or installations covered by the Pressure Equipment Directive / PED.
• Good knowledge of welding standards, specifications and quality requirements.
• Practical ability to assess weld quality.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience with ITP, WPS, welding documentation and NDT coordination.
• Good command of English or German.
• Driving licence category B.
• Availability for international assignments and rotation work.
