Our client is an independent offshore operator that owns and operates a fleet of Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units worldwide. From its headquarters in the Netherlands, the organization manages complex offshore assets with a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Following recent external audit findings, the company is strengthening its internal governance and procedural compliance across engineering and operational functions.
The Role We are seeking a hands-on QC Engineer focused on Internal Compliance and Technical Governance to reinforce adherence to company procedures, approval authorities, and quality control frameworks across the organization.
This role is not a traditional site-based QC position and not a financial internal audit role. Instead, it sits at the intersection of quality assurance, internal controls, and operational discipline.
You will act as an independent technical authority responsible for verifying that work processes, documentation, and approvals — particularly within engineering scopes such as Electrical & Instrumentation — are executed in accordance with established procedures and authorization requirements.
A key aspect of the role is the ability to engage directly with engineers, project teams, and managers to address deviations, clarify responsibilities, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with internal procedures, policies, and governance frameworks across engineering and operational activities
- Verify that approvals, sign-offs, and authorization processes are performed by the correct designated personnel
- Review technical documentation, work packages, and deliverables for compliance with company standards and approval matrices
- Focus particularly on Engineering scopes such as Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), maintenance, and modification activities
- Identify procedural gaps, non-conformities, and risks, and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken
- Act as an internal control function to prevent recurrence of audit findings
- Conduct internal quality checks and compliance reviews across departments
- Support the implementation and improvement of internal control processes and governance structures
- Clarify roles, responsibilities, and accountability within workflows (“who does what”)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Materials, or similar)
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in QA/QC, Quality Assurance, Technical Compliance, or similar roles within Oil & Gas, Offshore, EPC, or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and procedural compliance
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, approval workflows, and certification processes
- Proven ability to perform internal audits, quality checks, or compliance reviews
- Familiarity with engineering processes, maintenance activities, and project execution environments
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to work independently and objectively
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to address non-compliance at all organizational levels
- Ability to influence without formal authority

- Experience in FPSO, offshore operations, or asset owner organizations
- Background in EPC or major capital projects
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality frameworks
- Experience with audit follow-up and corrective action tracking
- Familiarity with engineering disciplines such as Electrical & Instrumentation
