As a QC Engineer, you will be at the forefront of maintaining rigorous construction quality management standards, collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors, and project leaders to ensure every deliverable meets contractual and regulatory requirements. Your role is pivotal in driving quality processes, identifying issues early, and championing continuous improvement that safeguards the integrity and safety of our projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in implementing construction Quality Control (QC) management systems.
- Proven ability to assist in planning, developing, and executing quality programs aligned with contract and project quality plans.
- Experience reviewing and approving product/material requisitions and subcontractor quality documentation, including Quality Management Systems, quality plans, and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Skilled in conducting quality inductions, monitoring inspections, and assessing contractor compliance with QC procedures.
- Proficiency in data management relating to QC records, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and turnover documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to promote quality awareness and deliver targeted training.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with international standards such as EN standards, ASME code, EN1090 (structural steel), and the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) for piping.
- Quality Auditor certification from a recognized industry body.
- Experience with construction completion and turnover management processes.
- Understanding of Romanian regulatory requirements (ISCIR, INSEMEX, ISU, AFER, ANRE, RENAR, ISC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in quality roles within EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract environments.
- Demonstrated background in welding engineering, supported by relevant training or internationally recognized courses.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on site.
- Proven organizational skills for maintaining robust QC documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to engage in local management reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
