The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a number of Quantity Surveyors at various levels to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor delivering a major substation project in Denmark.
Our client is an established international contractor specialising in complex Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering projects, with extensive experience delivering large-scale infrastructure across Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for Quantity Surveyors with experience across civil engineering, electrical infrastructure, M&E or major construction projects to join a high-performing project team and take responsibility for the commercial delivery of a significant energy infrastructure project.
Rotation options are available, making this opportunity particularly attractive to candidates who are open to working internationally.
The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle.

The Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and taking ownership of commercial and contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Acting as a key interface with the Client's Commercial and Contract teams.
- Managing project procurement, including subcontractor packages.
- Conducting detailed cost and risk analysis.
- Reviewing correspondence from the Employer, Design Team and subcontractors to identify contractually critical matters.
- Managing the commercial aspects of subcontractor relationships.
- Preparing project costing, margin and cashflow reports.
- Managing project change control procedures.
- Agreeing variations and associated costs with the client.
- Supporting the wider project team in achieving commercial and contractual objectives.
- Monitoring project costs and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- A third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working as a Project Quantity Surveyor.
- For more senior positions, 5+ years' relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience within civil engineering, electrical infrastructure, M&E or major construction projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Confidence communicating and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages.
- The ability to work effectively within a high-performing project environment.
- A willingness to work internationally and, where applicable, on a rotational basis.
