Location: Regina, SK or Sherwood Park, AB
Length: 1 Year (with potential extension)
Rotation: Monday - Friday
 
Role Summary
The Regional Field Quality Coordinator provides Quality Control (QC) execution and Quality Assurance (QA) oversight in support of Pipeline Maintenance and project activities across the Prairie Region (Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba).
 
This role is accountable for performing fundamental QC activities while providing QA oversight to ensure maintenance and project work is planned, executed, and documented in alignment with the established quality program, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality Control execution and Quality Assurance oversight for pipeline maintenance and project activities in accordance with the Enbridge Quality Program.
  • Develop, review, manage, and control quality documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), pressure test plans, weld and NDE matrices, inspection packages, and turnover records.
  • Perform QC verification activities and provide QA oversight to ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review Vendor, Supplier, and Contractor quality documentation for applicability, completeness, and conformance.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on project quality performance; identify quality issues, trends, and risks, and ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) through to closure using Enbridge’s Quality Enhancement Reporting system.
  • Develop and track Corrective Action Plans, Preventative Action Plans, and Root Cause Analyses, verifying the effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Coordinate quality assessments, audits, and surveillance activities as required and ensure audit findings are addressed and closed.
  • Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and external stakeholders to support quality requirements and resolve execution or documentation issues.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and controlled retention of QA/QC records, including field documentation, redline as-built drawings, and final turnover packages.
 
Role Scope
  • Perform Quality Assurance reviews of Supplier Quality Management Plans, material requisitions, Inspection and Test Plans, and other activities defined within the Quality Management Plan.
  • Support project teams by providing subject matter expertise in quality management throughout planning, execution, and close-out phases.
  • Prepare, review, and support the resolution of non-conformance documentation and related follow-up activities.
  • Verify supplier quality documentation and records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Enbridge quality and records management requirements.
  • Ensure supplier quality practices meet Enbridge documentation, records management, and retention standards.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance quality performance and consistency.
  • Support field documentation turnover activities, including compilation of records and redlining of project as-built drawings.
 
Qualifications:
 
Required
  • Related university degree with a minimum of 4 years’ experience, or 8 years of QA/QC experience in pipeline construction and/or maintenance.
  • CSA Z662 / 178.2 Level II certification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change leader.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as an effective team member.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Bluebeam.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
 
Preferred
  • NACE / AMPP Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level II certification.
 
Working Conditions
  • Typical work environment consists of approximately 90% office-based work and 10% field presence, which may vary depending on project requirements.
  • Field activities may include overnight stays and exposure to physical and environmental conditions requiring the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
