Location: Asker
Main tasks:
- Coordinate regulatory compliance activities within the project scope.
- Develop the overall regulatory compliance strategy for the project.
- Responsible for developing overall template regulatory compliance matrices per discipline.
- Verify that all strategy-related documentation meets regulatory compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain relevant process flows, method documents, work instructions (WI), and guidelines (GL) within the project.
- Build a compliance team responsible for regulatory compliance for the entire project, involving all necessary disciplines.
- Organise meetings with all relevant parties to have full control over all regulatory aspects for the project.
- Verify with the team that all laws and regulations are current and properly followed.
- Provide necessary training related to regulatory compliance within the project.
- Report any deviations from regulatory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate regulatory compliance efforts with the client.
- Identify deliverables required to support employer’s/clients permits and licenses.
- Identify and assess regulatory compliance risks in the project.
- Escalate non-conformities and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or environmental science with minimum 10 years’ experience in related field.
- 10+ years of experience within compliance or regulatory affairs.
- Deep understanding of local (Canadian), national and international regulations relevant to engineering.
- Preferred deep understanding of some of the directives such as PED, ATEX, Machine, EMC, RED, Low Voltage Directive and environmental directives like RoHS and REACH.
- Good understanding of relevant engineering standard such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, EN, ISO, NORSOK, DNV.
- Good understanding of standards such as ISO 9000 series, ISO 14000 series, OSHA, IEEE, ANSI, EN.
- Experience of leading compliance programs, managing regulatory audits/inspections.
