About the Role

You’ll work alongside three other mechanical engineers, reporting to the Reliability Lead. The role involves both day-to-day reliability support and longer-term improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical input to enhance fixed plant reliability and maintenance strategies.
- Engage in daily safety activities and discussions to promote team safety goals.
- Analyse reliability data to identify optimisation opportunities and implement improvements.
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to eliminate defects.
- Manage wear material performance and optimisation across fixed plant.
- Contribute to high-value improvement projects and lifecycle management of equipment.
- Ensure effectiveness of strategies including offsite repairs and maintain integrity of equipment data.
- Coach team members on best practice data capturing for quality assurance.
- Provide day-to-day support to maintenance execution teams on technical queries and troubleshooting.
- Support inputs towards annual budgeting cycle.
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering within Mining or Oil & Gas.
- Proven ability to lead small projects and collaborate across teams.
- Familiarity with SAP and data management (Work Management, Material Master Data).
- Skilled in reliability methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, and RCM.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and WA Mines Regulations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Safety-focused mindset with demonstrated leadership qualities.
