About the Role We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join a high‑impact maintenance organization supporting a large‑scale industrial processing operation. In this role, you’ll strengthen asset reliability and availability by applying reliability engineering best practices across the full asset life cycle—from design and startup through steady‑state operations.
You’ll partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to reduce unplanned downtime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and drive continuous improvement in a safety‑critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliable, safe operation of plant equipment, utilities, and critical systems
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
  • Lead reliability analyses including RCA/RCFA, FMEA, and Weibull analysis
  • Analyze downtime and performance data to identify failure trends and improvement opportunities
  • Drive improvements in OEE, MTBF, and MTTR through data‑driven reliability initiatives
  • Champion Management of Change (MOC) and support accurate engineering documentation
  • Participate in commissioning activities, PSSRs, and reliability reviews as required
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement engineered solutions
  • Support spare parts strategy, maintenance planning, and CMMS work processes
  • Provide technical expertise to eliminate repeat failures and improve asset performance
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within mining, chemical, or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment, utilities, and industrial systems
  • Proven experience with reliability data analysis, KPIs, and continuous improvement tools
  • Familiarity with RCA, FMEA, Six Sigma, and asset management best practices
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical findings clearly
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence
