Job Description
The Safety Data Analyst in the Process Safety & Services team assists the organization in leveraging data to drive informed decisions that enhance workplace safety and risk management. They are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets from various sources, evaluating technical requirements to build PowerApp solutions, and proposing and executing streamlining efforts in the data collection space. The goal of this role is to identify trends, patterns, technical opportunities, and insights that inform the development and refinement of safety policies, procedures, and training programs.

Day-to-Day Activities
  • Project managing PowerApp build requests
  • Developing solutions in the Power Platform space (PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate)
  • Building predictive models to anticipate potential hazards
  • Conducting statistical analysis on the root causes of incidents
  • Querying databases to track safety KPIs
  • Presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders including operations, projects, STS, and senior leadership
  • Reporting tasks related to monthly reporting
The role requires technical knowledge in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, and PowerBI. The ability to communicate complex safety-related information in a clear and concise manner is essential. Safety Data Analysts work collaboratively with subject matter experts, safety professionals, and other data analysts to transform raw data into actionable intelligence that supports the organization’s goal of providing a safe work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Creation of PowerApp tools and applications
  • Develop and maintain the Safety Performance Ai build roadmap
  • Safety reporting (internal, external, country-wide)
  • Management of Safety Classification and Learning Model (SCL) classifications and events
  • Development and maintenance of Safety PowerBI dashboards
  • Support optimization of data collection through market research and development of new tools
  • Maintenance of tools for data collection and analysis
  • Management and control of the EHS software platform(s) (Enablon, EHSM)
  • Collection, governance, and validation of all safety-related data (incidents, investigations, corrective actions, exposure, etc.)
  • Control and distribution of safety alerts, bulletins, and safety data communications
  • Trending and analysis of safety data (e.g., identification of incidents involving specific equipment, common themes over time periods)
  • Tracking and reporting of internal and external safety metrics
  • Providing analytical support and recommendations for safety performance metrics
