My client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Design System (Angular). My client is building a design system that powers dozens of digital products across the company.
The Senior Angular Software Engineer on the Design System team will play a key role in the design and scaling of the shared foundations used by hundreds of designers and developers worldwide.

The Senior Angular Software Engineer will work closely with designers, engineers, and the Design System lead to evolve my client’s Angular library, strengthen our technical foundations, and promote its adoption across all teams.

The Senior Angular Software Engineer will contribute to delivering a consistent, accessible, and high-quality user experience within my client’s digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities
 

• Define and develop the technical roadmap for the Design System.
• Collaborate with designers to translate Figma components and tokens into reliable and reusable Angular components.
• Make architectural decisions that ensure scalability, maintainability, and accessibility.
• Develop, document, and maintain components with a clear API design and robust test coverage.
• Manage and optimize build and deployment pipelines using Nx, NPM, and GitHub Actions.
• Write internal documentation, facilitate workshops, and support teams in integrating the design system.
• Work with multiple teams to ensure system compatibility across diverse use cases, platforms, and technologies.

Senior Angular Software Engineer Qualifications
 

• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, and Angular.
• Proficiency in packaging and distributing high-performance NPM packages.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale component libraries.
• Good understanding of design tokens, theme systems, and scalable CSS architectures.
• In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and testing best practices.
• Ability to mentor peers, promote clean architecture, and bridge the gap between design and engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

• Proficiency in React and/or React Native for future implementations.
• Experience with multi-brand or multi-theme architectures.
• Knowledge of automated token pipelines and design-to-code synchronization.
• Contributions to open-source projects or internal developer communities.
• Experience in large-scale product ecosystems.
• Knowledge of Python, Terraform, and AWS is considered a plus.
