We are working with our Oil and Gas Client, recruiting for a Business Services and Facilities Officer to join them on an initial 3-4 month contract with the possibility of extension.
The Senior Business Services and Facilities Officer manages a range of business services, facilities management, and administrative functions for the client. The position is located in the Strategy Planning and Performance Team and reports directly to the Director Strategy Planning and Performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of the Business Services Officer and function to deliver business services, including reception and facilities management for the client
  • Delivery and continuous improvement of high-quality, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose business services (including facilities management/maintenance, procurement/purchasing, kitchen and office consumables, and other services as required).
  • Development, implementation, and maintenance of adherence to business services systems, processes, and policies to ensure compliance with agency standards, including provision of training to staff across the agency as required.
  • Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to provide input and support across a range of activities, including crisis management, corporate induction, participation in cross-functional working groups, and other activities as required.
  • Building, managing, and maintaining productive working relationships with external stakeholders to enable the provision of one-off and ongoing services (e.g. ergonomic assessments, building and facilities maintenance/refurbishment, supply of goods, etc).
  • Managing business services and facilities contracts to ensure work is completed as specified and compliant with legislation, relevant standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Complying with the clients business policies and processes, including financial, regulatory, communications, information management, and human resources practices, as well as the Australian Public Service Values, Code of Conduct, and Employment Principles.
Skills/Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in facility management, delivery of business services across an organisation and office administration.
  • Demonstrated experience in tender and procurement processes, and contract and budget management/administration.
  • Highly developed stakeholder relationship management (internal and external), communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities concurrently and respond effectively to unanticipated events and/or changing priorities.
  • Highly developed problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
