Senior Civil Design Engineer – Water Infrastructure
Our client is a rapidly expanding engineering consultancy with a dedicated water infrastructure design division that is delivering major projects across Australia. With an impressive portfolio spanning multiple states, they offer a strong and stable pipeline of civil design work for leading Water Service Providers nationwide.

The Opportunity

They are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Brisbane. In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of significant water infrastructure projects, working within a collaborative and forward‑thinking team that values innovation, technical excellence, and practical problem‑solving.
You will be involved in complex and diverse civil design tasks, including:
  • Earthworks
  • Stormwater and pipeline design
  • Civil structures and associated elements such as concrete pits
  • retaining walls, foundations, slabs, fencing, and landscaping
You will play a key role in producing high‑quality project deliverables, ensuring designs meet technical requirements, project timelines, and budget expectations. You’ll also work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination.
As a senior member of the team, you will be supported by highly experienced engineers while also being encouraged to demonstrate autonomy, initiative, and leadership in managing and delivering design packages.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent
  • RPEQ certification (required)
  • Proven experience in a consulting environment delivering civil and water infrastructure projects (experience in power or oil & gas sectors also valued)
  • Strong technical understanding of civil engineering principles
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with drafters, multidisciplinary teams, and clients
  • Proficiency in developing detailed design and documentation for water infrastructure projects
  • Capability in producing reports, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
