NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Senior Construction Engineer for a major offshore energy development project to be based in Singapore.

The Senior Construction Engineer shall be responsible for coordinating all on-site construction activities, ensuring effective communication between stakeholders and that execution is carried out in compliance with HSSE, quality, and schedule requirements. You will oversee both technical and administrative construction activities to ensure project objectives are achieved efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.

Specifically, you shall be responsible for:
• Conduct constructability reviews and provide technical input to engineering teams to optimize design for construction.
• Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring alignment with project plans and objectives.
• Perform and oversee advanced technical evaluations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to support project decision-making.
• Provide expert guidance on construction techniques and methodologies to ensure best practices are implemented.
• Identify and resolve operational challenges, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions to improve productivity and reduce non-productive time.
• Coordinate interfaces between disciplines, ensuring priorities are aligned and construction issues are resolved efficiently.
• Monitor construction progress and performance, ensuring delivery meets schedule milestones.
• Support development of construction strategies and execution plans.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the construction team, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE standards, regulatory requirements, and quality procedures across all construction activities.

To be successful in this role you shall need:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8+ years of extensive construction experience, with a proven track record delivering complex projects in challenging environments.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, processes, and HSSE regulations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing construction interfaces.
• Demonstrated capability in risk assessment, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in FPSO-related projects, including hull, topsides, or turret mooring systems, will be highly advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of construction and commissioning processes within the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Understanding of commercial and business drivers within large-scale projects.
