Job Title: Senior Contracts Manager – Pipeline

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Schedule: 5/2 (40 hours per week)

Term: March 2026 – September 2026

Our LNG client is a joint venture developing a world-class liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility in Kitimat, British Columbia. The project consists of two LNG processing units (“trains”), each designed to produce at least 6.5 mtpa of LNG annually. This is one of Canada’s most significant energy infrastructure projects, with a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and community partnership.

Purpose & Accountabilities

The Senior Contracts Manager will:

  • Develop a collaborative working relationship with the FEED Contractor to support successful outcomes for both our client and the Contractor.
  • Manage supporting contracts to ensure alignment and delivery in conjunction with the FEED Contract.
  • Contribute as a key team member in the EPCM RFP process.
  • Demonstrate strong HSSE leadership, aligning with the project’s safety-first philosophy.
  • Ensure robust contract management to deliver required performance and maintain compliance, fostering transparency and open communication between all parties.
This role is fully integrated within the Supply Chain and Project Management teams.

Special Challenges

  • Managing a heavy workload in a fast-paced mega-project environment.
  • Influencing and collaborating with a world-class FEED contractor.
  • Seamlessly interfacing with Project and Construction Management teams.
  • Supporting the delivery of FEED and FEED subcontractors.
  • Representing the FEED scope to external stakeholders with strong contract knowledge.
  • Operating in a high-performance environment targeting top-quartile HSSE, contracting, and procurement outcomes.
Skills & Requirements

  • Experienced professional with contracting experience on major capital projects.
  • Strong relationship management and leadership skills in managing contractors.
  • Experience on major Canadian projects is highly preferred.
Core Competencies:

  • Minimum 10 years of Contracting and Procurement experience (less experience may be considered with aligned compensation).
  • Application of contracting and procurement processes and tools.
  • Knowledge of materials management and logistics within a project environment.
  • Project contract management and governance.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including negotiations and demonstrated contract value creation.
  • Stakeholder management (internal and external).
  • Effective communication across all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of pipeline facilities construction and contracting is considered an asset.
  • Innovative problem-solving ability and proven track record of delivering in project-driven environments.
  • Applied knowledge of local content development.
  • Experience working in mega-project environments.
  • Understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation, and commercial considerations within complex projects.
Education & Certifications:

  • CP professional competencies at Skill level or above.
  • Degree in Business, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience.
