About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join a major capital project operating under an integrated Owner/EPCM delivery model.
This role is responsible for providing oversight, governance, and consolidation of cost management activities across a complex, multi-party environment. You will work closely with the EPCM contractor’s project controls function to ensure alignment, transparency, and robust cost performance across the project lifecycle.

This role is responsible for providing oversight, governance, and consolidation of cost management activities across a complex, multi-party environment. You will work closely with the EPCM contractor’s project controls function to ensure alignment, transparency, and robust cost performance across the project lifecycle.

- Lead and manage project cost control activities within an integrated Owner/EPCM framework
- Provide oversight and assurance of EPCM cost control outputs, ensuring alignment with Owner standards, joint venture (JV) requirements, and governance frameworks
- Develop, maintain, and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Establish and manage cost tracking systems and reporting structures to enable transparency across stakeholders
- Deliver timely and accurate cost forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting
- Drive change management processes, including evaluation, tracking, and reporting of cost impacts
- Support the development and implementation of project control procedures tailored to a multi-party environment
- Consolidate and present cost reporting at governance forums, including senior stakeholders
- Ensure alignment between enterprise cost systems and Excel-based reporting tools
- Identify cost risks and opportunities, providing proactive insights to support decision-making
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Commercial, and Engineering teams to ensure integrated project controls delivery
- Experience with enterprise cost management systems (e.g., Oracle or equivalent) is advantageous
- Extensive use of advanced Excel-based models and reporting tools in a complex project environment
- Proven experience in Senior Cost Control roles on major capital projects
- Background within mining, resources, infrastructure, or similarly complex industries
- Experience working within an Owner’s team and/or EPCM delivery environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost control in multi-stakeholder or joint venture environments
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, and change control
