Role Summary:
The Senior Project Cost / Scheduler will support project execution and delivery of projects by providing schedule, cost, and performance control services. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, cost control budgets, tracking progress and actual costs, analyzing variances, forecasting project outcomes and identifying risks and mitigation strategies.

The Senior Project Cost / Scheduler will support project execution and delivery of projects by providing schedule, cost, and performance control services. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, cost control budgets, tracking progress and actual costs, analyzing variances, forecasting project outcomes and identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
- Monitor and analyze project budgets and expenditures; support cost forecasting and variance analysis using an integrated corporate and project management application.
- Prepare project performance reports including earned value management (EVM), progress tracking, and risk exposure.
- Work with procurement and contract teams to ensure vendor commitments align with project timelines and financial controls.
- Coordinate input from engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure consistent project control practices.
- Support change management processes by analyzing impacts of scope, schedule, or cost changes.
- Identify schedule and cost risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support risk management processes by analyzing impacts of scope, schedule risks and potential mitigation strategies.
- Participate in project reviews, audits, and lessons-learned sessions.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and industry standards
- 20+ years of experience in project controls disciplines showing increasing level of responsibility and complexity of projects
- Post-secondary education in Business, Information Management or related field
- Expertise in schedule set up and development using Primavera P6
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Access)
- Expertise in cost control using integrated project management applications or equivalent database applications
- Experience on major project execution in the $500 Million to $1.0 Billion TIC
- Experience working in the Owner’s Team and EPCM companies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in Potash mining and processing projects considered an asset
- Experience in ocean shipping terminal projects considered an asset
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems considered an asset
- Familiarity with project delivery frameworks (EPC/M, FEL, stage-gate processes)
