Hybrid – 3 days on site, 2 days remote
Must be able to speak fluent French with a good command of English

Senior Data Engineer skills required:
Python, experience with Azure Functions, including Durable Functions v2. Ability to retrieve & leverage data from different Azure sources: Data Lake, Blob Storage, Azure DB. Pandas. Crime novels. PyArrow. AI
Mastering the expected stack is necessary, but it is not enough on its own. The expected value also lies in the ability to understand the issues, design the right solutions, use AI with discernment, explain choices & help the team progress.

Design & develop data pipelines in Python
Participate in the modeling & optimization of Azure SQL databases
My client is looking for a Senior Data Engineer that can quickly understand business issues and translate them into robust & pragmatic solutions. Able to think about the problem before focusing on the implementation. Equipped with real engineering & design expertise, beyond the mere mastery of a specific language, framework or version. Able to use AI tools in advanced, critical, & relevant ways, not just as a code generator. Proactive, accurate & honest about their abilities, limitations & the risks associated with their choices. Able to produce synthesis useful for decision-making. Attracted by immersion in subjects, sharing, transmission & cross-functional work

Senior Date Engineer main mission
Design & develop data pipelines in Python
- Implement batch processing & orchestrations through Azure Durable Functions
- Handle large amounts of data, including in Parquet format
- Implement schema validations & data quality controls
- Ensure integration with external APIs
Participate in the modeling & optimization of Azure SQL databases
- Implement the observability of the solution: traces, metrics, logs
- Industrialize deployments via CI/CD • Guarantee code quality & security
- Contribute to the analysis of needs & the framing of topics before implementation
- Carry out a design reflection on technical choices, compromises & maintainability
- Use AI as a concrete engineering lever: accelerate execution, explore options, challenge choices, improve quality & gain in efficiency, without delegating thinking or lowering the level of requirements
- Share your practices, explain your choices & contribute to the development of the squad's skills
- Work effectively in an international environment, including English on technical & design topics
