The Opportunity
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, review, and optimisation of electrical systems for hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and end users, you will help deliver highly resilient, efficient, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design development through to delivery and commissioning, while also contributing to technical innovation and engineering best practice across the business.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development, review, and optimisation of electrical systems for hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and end users, you will help deliver highly resilient, efficient, and scalable infrastructure solutions.
This role offers exposure across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design development through to delivery and commissioning, while also contributing to technical innovation and engineering best practice across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and technical review of HV/LV electrical systems for mission-critical facilities.
- Support the development of resilient power infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and distribution networks.
- Produce and review engineering calculations, maximum demand assessments, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Coordinate electrical design activities with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders.
- Prepare technical documentation including basis of design reports, specifications, and engineering studies.
- Support power system modelling and analysis including load flow, fault level, harmonics, and protection studies.
- Identify and mitigate risks relating to redundancy, power continuity, system capacity, and operational reliability.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and delivery teams throughout project execution.
- Contribute to innovation, sustainability initiatives, and design optimisation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical capability development within the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering, ideally within data centres, mission-critical infrastructure, utilities, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong experience designing HV/LV electrical infrastructure, UPS systems, generators, and associated critical power systems.
- Understanding of redundancy topologies and resilient system design principles.
- Experience with power system analysis including fault level, load flow, harmonics, and protection coordination studies.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian and international engineering standards and codes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work within fast-paced, technically complex project environments.
- Experience supporting construction, testing, or commissioning activities is advantageous.
