Position : Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer 
Location:
MZLNG Plant, Mozambique
Start Date: September 2026
Status: Residential in Milan, Italy for the first two years and then Rotational in Afungi (28/28 )

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity across all electrical activities
  • Participate in near‑miss analysis, HAZOPs, risk assessments, safety audits, RCAs, and incident investigations
  • Lead the Electrical Engineering Specialist team and oversee all technical activities
  • Review and adjust preventive electrical maintenance plans, frequencies, and tasks
  • Supervise the scheduling and coherence of all electrical work requests
  • Prepare, review, and update monthly performance reports (preventive, corrective, cost, KPIs, budget follow‑up)
  • Provide technical expertise for electrical maintenance operations to optimise reliability and cost efficiency
  • Review procedures, documentation, safety manuals, and ensure proper updates and archiving
  • Produce new electrical maintenance procedures and validate existing ones according to company maintenance policy
  • Ensure quality control during all maintenance execution activities
  • Support Plant Maintenance and Reliability teams in troubleshooting technical issues
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement improvements to enhance reliability and reduce failures
  • Ensure adequate availability of electrical spare parts and materials; review stock and justify material needs
  • Coordinate electrical contractor activities and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and contractual deliverables
  • Develop technical scopes of work, review contractor documentation, and support pre‑qualification processes
  • Supervise vendors providing specialist control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation services
  • Ensure backups of electrical control systems, PLCs, and package systems are updated and securely archived
  • Implement electrical modification proposals through the Management of Change system
  • Provide inputs for the Electrical discipline in the Asset Reference Plan (ARP)
  • Maintain technological awareness through continuous engagement with HQ and industry standards
  • Support development, performance management, and training of national employees
  • Identify training needs and ensure implementation of approved development programs
  • Set yearly objectives for subordinates and conduct regular performance reviews and annual appraisals

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent international qualification
  • Minimum 20 years of maintenance experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in LNG producing plants (not LNG terminals)
  • Strong technical expertise in variable speed drives, gas turbine generators, emergency diesel generators, transformers, protection systems, boards, and electrical drawers
  • Strong knowledge of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, API, EN, ATEX, IECEx, ISO for electrical machinery)
  • Good knowledge of SAP‑based CMMS systems
  • Strong computer literacy and electrical systems integration knowledge
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
