NES Fircroft are partnering with a Global resources client who are looking for a Senior Environment Specialist to join the team
 
Shape the Future of Sustainable Mining
Join a leading Global mining company as a Senior Environment Specialist, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering environmental approvals and compliance for major projects. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic influence with practical fieldwork—guiding projects from planning through to operations, mentoring junior staff, and working closely with stakeholders on-site.
 
Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead complex environmental approvals and compliance processes
✔ Drive implementation of environmental management plans across project lifecycle
✔ Provide expert advice on rehabilitation, biodiversity, water management, and closure planning
✔ Engage with regulators, community stakeholders, and internal teams
✔ Prepare high-quality documentation for statutory approvals and audits
Mentor and develop junior environmental professionals
Work on-site with operational teams to ensure practical environmental solutions
 
About You
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • Significant experience in environmental management within mining
  • Extensive knowledge of WA environmental legislation and approvals processes
  • Proven ability to take projects from planning through to operational phase
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach
  • Passion for mentoring and building team capability
