Location: Stavanger
Main tasks:
- Supports the Project Development in the completion engineering governing process, Budget, and Cost Control.
- Directly Influences Design Work for Completion Development Scope including lower, middle, and upper completion design.
- Prepares Completion and Packer Fluid Design.
- Active role in preparing for Completion Running Procedures, Risk Assessments and preparing important Meetings like Well Specific Risk Assessment and Completion Well on Paper in accordance with Company’s WEP.
- Follows up new technology and its potential be used on the project with special focus on Company's and Industry Initiatives on Digitalisation and Low Carbon Emission Goals.
- Provides support to the team also for subsea/completion studies and represents Completion Engineering in the Interfaces to other Disciplines of the Project Subsurface, Production Technology, Drilling and Subsea.
- Ensure all requirements of the Well Engineering Process and Technical Policy have been adhered to and identified gaps to the Company Well Engineering Management System have been bridged to local standards and Rig Contractor Well Control Standards.
- Ensure that the planning and execution is in accordance with Norwegian legislative requirements and relevant local Oil & Gas Standards such as Norsok and ISO.
- Mentors and provides support to the Project Well Engineering Junior Members of the Project Team.
- Supports in Stakeholder Management such as Partner MCMs and Workshops.
Qualifications:
- Approximately 10 years relevant professional experience.
- Education – Degree within Drilling/ Petroleum of Engineering.
- Relevant professional skills: Offshore Floater, HPHT, Horizontal Drilling, Completions, others: IWCF Level 11 Subsea combined.
- Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
- Must have a team attitude, able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and be self-motivated.
- The ability to interact with specialist engineers, project teams and contractors is essential.
- Experience in working for an upstream operator company.
- HPHT Offshore Floater Experience is relevant for the Projects, in particular drilling and completing HPHT Horizontal Wells.
- A technical expert who has excellent understanding of all interfaces and inter-dependencies and manages complex work-flows with other disciplines.
- Sound understanding of the Company WEMS and Technical Standards.
- Regulatory knowledge for the NCS (Norwegian Continental Shelf).
- Able to undertake difficult functional tasks and broadly defined problems in one or several discipline areas. Situations may require adaptation or development of new solutions through analytical, interpretative, evaluative, creative, and innovative thinking.
- Able to define sound proposals to improve procedures and guidelines and provides input for policies.
- Provides clear, usable advice to superiors & peers.
- Actively contributes to internal discussions and questions status-quo.
