Senior I&C Engineer - Woodside

We are currently recruiting a Senior I&C Engineer for Woodside on an initial 6–12-month contract to support their NWS Offshore operations team to be based in the Perth CBD.

About the Role:
The role provides Instrument and control system expertise to the offshore platforms in the following capacity:
  • Technical support including response to failure and subsequent root cause analysis.
  • Participation and input to Opportunity and Vulnerability identification initiatives including obsolescence.
  • Managing technical change
  • Identification, project management and implementation of modifications
  • Manage relationships with critical suppliers and ensure competitive commercial outcomes.
  • Input to maintenance strategy, planning and execution.
  • Management of Process Safety Risk Assessment Outcomes  
 Skills & Experience:
  • Overriding commitment to the safe operation of the production facilities
  • Familiarity with operation and support control systems including DCS, shutdown systems, fire & gas systems, and typical packaged equipment PLC’s.
  • Experience with Honeywell Experion and Tricon systems is preferred.
  • Management of Change processes understanding
  • Knowledge or Skilled level understanding of field instrumentation, Control Valves, Control Systems, and Performance Standards.
  • Basic Process Measurement Instrumentation skills & experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a high level of ownership and initiative in progressing work scopes, identifying issues and delivering safe, effective fit-for-purpose and timely outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including a track record of collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the production environment.
  • Good knowledge of Process Safety management, with applicable experience in Operations
 Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor degree or equivalent) in Controls Engineering or similar relevant discipline
  • Discipline and Process Safety Management competency consistent with, or approaching, the requirements of a Woodside Technical Integrity Custodian (TIC)
