Senior I&E Construction Supervisor

  • A minimum of 10 years work history as an Electrician or Instrument Technician.  Preferably a minimum of 5 years construction supervision with an I&E construction company. 
  • Aptitude to review and field verify I&E drawings a must.  Experience as an I&E Designer a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the various PHSMA, OSHA and industry standards as it relates to control engineering.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge in the following Industry Standards
    • NFPA 70 – National Electrical Code
    • NEC Article 250 – Grounding and Bonding
    • NEC Article 392 – Cable Trays
    • API RP 500 - Recommended Practice for Classification of Locations for Electrical Installations at Petroleum Facilities Classified as Class 1, Division 1 and Division 2
    • API RP 540 – Electrical Installations in Petroleum Processing Plants
    • NFPA 496 – Standard for Purged and Pressurized Enclosures for Electrical Equipment
    • NFPA 497 - Recommended Practice for the Classification of Flammable Liquids, Gases, or Vapors, and of Hazardous (Classified) Locations for Electrical Installations in Chemical Process Areas
    • NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
  • Ability to quickly learn Enterprise Standards and Specifications relating to I&E design and work

    • ES37 – Basic Requirements for Structural Steel  Structures
    • ES38 – Miscellaneous Structural Steel
    • ES75-06 – Electrical Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

  • Must possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and have the ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work both independently and with others in the organization.
  • Must have the ability to perform light work, able to lift minimum of 20 pounds occasionally and be able to reach overhead, stoop, bend and twist while working
