Hiring: Senior Instrumentation Engineer - Fire & Gas
Location: Qatar - Raslaffan
Contract: 2-Year Initial (Extendable) | Oil & Gas / LNG

Work Schedule & Setup
  • 8–10 Hours per Day
  • Sunday to Thursday
  • Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF (Single Status)
Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer to plan and support Instrumentation and Fire & Gas (F&G) engineering activities across EPC and startup phases.
The role focuses on ensuring all project deliverables meet Safety, Operability, Reliability, and Maintainability standards throughout the facility lifecycle, until handover to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Instrumentation & F&G engineering support across design, commissioning, and startup
  • Participate in:
    • SIL workshops, HAZOP reviews, and technical assessments
    • Design reviews and verification processes
  • Support commissioning and startup, including:
    • Advanced troubleshooting
    • Failure analysis
    • System optimization
  • Develop and implement integrity & reliability programs for Instrumentation and F&G systems
  • Ensure compliance with company standards procedures, and best practices
  • Support cybersecurity and system reliability initiatives
  • Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers
  • Maintain issue register for risk tracking, including new technology risks
  • Support high-risk commissioning activities and provide advisory support to Operations
  • Assist in project tie-ins and system handover to asset teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical preferred)
Experience Required
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Oil & Gas / LNG environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • DCS & PLC systems
    • ESD & Fire & Gas (F&G) systems
    • Anti-surge control systems
    • Metering systems
    • Turbine & compressor control systems
  • Strong knowledge of SIL (Safety Integrity Level) requirements
  • Experience in EPC projects, commissioning & startup phases
Technical & Business Skills
✔ Strong decision-making under high-pressure conditions
✔ Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
✔ Good communication (written & verbal English)
✔ Proficiency in tools such as:
  • Microsoft Office
  • SAP
  • CONVAL
  • InstruCal
