My client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Projects Ramp Up team at their downstream mineral processing facility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead mechanical design and technical assessments for debottlenecking and modification projects.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables including datasheets, specifications, and layout drawings.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
- Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver integrated design outcomes.
- Support procurement, vendor evaluations, and documentation reviews.
- Participate in HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
- Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and handover.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering within resource or chemical processing industries.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1210, AS4041, ASME).
- Proven experience with pressure equipment, piping systems, rotating equipment, and layout design.
- Ability to review 3D models and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
