We are currently recruiting a Senior Mechanical Package Engineer for a Global Oil & Gas EPC in Perth CBD on an initial 3-month contract with potential to extend.
The successful candidate will support the piping and mechanical team under the direction of a Lead Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with designers and other disciplines to produce safe and cost effective mechanical and piping system designs;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable specifications and standards and completing work within project budget and schedule;
  • Involvement in all phases of project lifecycle from concept design through to execution;
  • Originate engineering deliverables, this may include preparing requisition documents for various equipment packages, preparation of specifications, datasheets and technical bid evaluations,
  • Coordinate technical aspects during design phase
  • Review technical competency of vendors as part of pre-qualification
  • Package management of vendor supplied equipment
  • Participate in formal or informal reporting to Discipline Lead on progress of engineering tasks and technical issues
  • Liaise with other disciplines for input to design and review of vendor deliverables
About You
  • Experience in oil and gas industry or energy sector
  • Previous package engineering experience with static and rotating equipment
  • University Degree in Engineering relevant to the discipline from reputable institution, for instance as recognised by the Institute of Engineers Australia, or international equivalent (IMechE, ICHemE)
