Position Title: Senior Piping Inspector

JOB PURPOSE: 
    Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes within the Viet Nam Block B Gas Project in accordance with and meet the required quality standards and specification to deliver the Project in Safely, Quality, Schedule and Productivity
    To act as the Senior Piping Inspector and Responsible for all piping work activities but not limit to material, structure, piping, equipment, NDT, Painting work during, detail engineering, pre-fabrication, assembly, erection, fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up and pre-commissioning of CPP, WHP/HUB.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Ensure implementation of the Company’s Quality Policies, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Quality Plans is to comply.
    Ensure that Project Quality specially Piping to be implemented and complied with Specification, Project Quality Plan, Procedure and National Regulation as well.
    Participate in review and approve Contractor/Vendor’s Mechanical and Piping ITP, Piping Fabrication Procedure, Hydrostatic Pressure Test Procedure, PMI/PWHT Procedure, Chemical Cleaning Procedure., etc.
    Overall supervision and ensure that, all piping work and other activities such as Piping material (include Fitting, Valves) inspection, shop spool fabrication, filed spool installation and testing in accordance with latest AFC, P&ID, Isometric drawings, approved WPS/PQRs, approved procedure and Specification.
    Review piping and mechanical test-pack documentation requirements for installation, testing to ensure that all the verification have been carried out and the appropriate check list been completed and signed off properly till final stage of color coding and valve tagging.
    Provide support to Lead Piping Engineer and Supervisor in review of Piping P&ID, Isometric drawing against AFC drawing.
    Advise promptly QA/QC Manager of any quality related problem, deviation or noncompliance.
    Work closely with Mechanical and Pre-commissioning Team to hand-over the integrity piping system completion for Pre-commissioning.
    Interface, Communicate and Maintain close liaison with other Project Disciplines, Contractor, Vendor, Third Party for all relevant Piping activities.
    Participate in the issue of Site Issue and Non-conformance Report include Disposition or Corrective Action and Preventive Action.
    Maintains good relationships with Contractor and Vendor but being strict to achieve the Project objectives.
    As a member of QA/QC Team and report directly to QA/QC Manager, QA/QC Lead and QA/QC Coordinator as well.
    Perform other duties that are assigned by QA/QC Manager and/or QA/QC Lead as well. 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
    Must hold a degree of Engineer in Mechanical, Science and Technology or Equivalent.  
    Familiar with Quality Assurance & Quality Control Systems. 
    Hold Valid Certificates: CSWIP 3.2, AWS-SCWI, NDT are preferred.
    Hold Certificates: NACE, CSWIP-BGAS, PROSIO are advantage.
Experience:
    Required a min of twelve (12 years extensive working experience in the oil and gas industry of which six (06) years’ experience include but not limit to at least five (05) Well Head Platform, CPP, Living Quarter Platform and infield Pipeline as well in Engineering Support, Fabrication, Inspection, Installation and Hook-up for both Contractor and Client.
    Experience in inspection activities during pre-fabrication, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning
    A min of five (05) years’ experience in a similar Role such as Snr. Piping Inspector, General Inspector or Equivalent.
Specific Knowledge:
    Strong knowledge of various piping materials includes valves, fitting as well offshore and onshore installation and testing.
    Sound knowledge in and Conversant with International Codes and Standards such as AWS, ASME, BS EN, API, ASTM, DNV, NACE, ISO., etc.
    Out of Vietnam, Experience working with oversea Contractor, Vendor and Supplier are preferred.
    Good sense of team spirit leadership, coordination and communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
    Good computer skills (ACAD, 3D-Model, PDF, Word, Excel, Power Point)
    Good command in English (writing, listening and speaking)
