About the Role

An mining company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner to support the successful delivery of large‑scale, complex projects across the full project lifecycle. This role sits within the Planning / Project Controls function and will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analysing integrated project schedules to ensure cost, time, and performance targets are achieved.

You will work closely with internal project teams and external partners, providing expert planning support, performance insights, and schedule governance across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and maintain master and detailed project schedules to support timely execution
  • Cost and resource load schedules to align with approved budgets and delivery strategies
  • Conduct critical path, milestone, and “what‑if” scenario analysis
  • Maintain schedule integrity and ensure sound planning logic and structure
  • Perform schedule health checks in line with best‑practice planning standards
  • Implement Earned Value Management (EVM), including CPI and SPI analysis and trend reporting
  • Review and integrate contractor schedules into the master program
  • Identify and report schedule risks, trends, productivity issues, and benchmarks early
  • Produce accurate weekly and month‑end progress reports
  • Actively participate in schedule workshops, risk reviews, and change management processes
  • Support quarterly capital planning and forecasting activities
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure planning inputs are accurate and complete
About You:
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or similar preferred
  • Experience as a Project Planner / Senior Planner
  • Client‑side or owner’s‑team experience across the full project lifecycle
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential)
  • Strong capability across MS Office and reporting / BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
