Job Description – Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Qatar About the Role
Seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to manage and monitor project schedules for brownfield and medium-to-small scale projects (CAT-IV to CAT-VI). The role ensures effective planning, scheduling, and reporting, supports project execution, and aligns with company standards and best practices.
You will work closely with project management teams, operations, asset teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules for CAT-IV to CAT-VI projects.
  • Implement and maintain integrated planning and scheduling procedures for projects.
  • Track project progress, identify delays or risks, and provide recommendations for recovery plans.
  • Review contractor schedules, deliverables, and progress reports to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Provide schedule inputs to Work Program & Budget (WP&B) and assist Project Assurance in compilation.
  • Support contract and bid evaluations, investigate schedule-related contractual deviations, and assist with Extension of Time (EOT) assessments.
  • Establish performance analysis processes, benchmarking, and best practices in project controls.
  • Continuously enhance planning methods, tools, and processes for efficient project execution.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 12+ years of multi-discipline Oil & Gas experience with emphasis on planning and scheduling across project phases.
  • Proven experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent project scheduling software.
  • Strong knowledge of project controls, EOT assessment, and brownfield project execution.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
